The Food Standards Agency urged people who bought some chicken wings, cheese and chips to return them.
The government body has warned that some products containing listeria, which can cause flu-like symptoms such as pain, vomiting, chills and diarrhea, have been put on supermarket shelves, reports the Daily Record. .
In severe cases, the infection can lead to serious complications, including meningitis, especially in the elderly and pregnant women.
Some crisps and chickens have also been recalled for fear that they contain milk and barley, posing a risk to people who are allergic or intolerant to dairy products.
The FSA urged anyone who purchased the items to visit the nearest supermarket for a full refund or exchange.
