Dead Pool star Ryan Reynolds teamed up with Half brothers and Elf icon Will Ferrell for a musical remake of a classic Christmas story, and filming began today (June 6).

Titled Fiery, the film – coming to Apple TV + – will be a new version of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, who sees a grumpy old man visited by three spirits and eventually learns to embrace the feeling of goodwill towards all men (and we assume women as well).

Sharing a photo of the two actors looking at each other captured on a ‘Not Sony’ film camera, Reynolds (who wears AirPods in the photo) tweeted: ‘The first day of filming with one of my comedy idols, Will Ferrell. notice it was an @Apple movie! In addition, the installation of iOS 14.6 will begin in 7 seconds … “

It’s not the actor’s first Christmas movie either, as Will Ferrell obviously starred in many people’s favorite festive flick, Elf.

Meanwhile, Ryan Reynolds starred in … Once upon a time there was a Deadpool, a cut of Deadpool 2 which was released at Christmas. Okay, this one is a bit of a stretch but still …
