Russell Westbrook returns home – and he joins LeBron James.

The Los Angeles Lakers acquired Westbrook, a 2024 second-round pick and 2028 second-round pick from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Kyle Kuzma, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Montrezl Harrell and the No.22 pick in the Washington Wizards’ draft. NBA 2021, according to Athleticism.

Now, Westbrook will join James and superstar forward Anthony Davis in forming their own “Big 3” for Los Angeles.

The Lakers – who won the NBA title in the Orlando bubble in 2020 – were knocked out by the Phoenix Suns in the first round of the playoffs this year and struggled down the home stretch with James and Davis missing the major part of the second half of the regular season due to injury.
