“Thank you to our family and friends for the most unforgettable weekend filled with more love, laughter and happiness than I have ever known.
“It still looks like a dream. “
Nothing official has been said about why Earl Spencer did not attend his daughter’s wedding.
On Friday night, he posted a photo taken in the grounds of his Althorp estate, hours before the ceremony in Italy.
The image was of the moon and accompanied by the caption: “Now it’s a moon. “
An insider claimed the earl may have skipped his daughter’s big day due to a shoulder injury.
The source told the Mail Online: “Charles recently suffered an injury and that might be the reason he won’t be traveling, but it’s just easier for everyone that he’s not here. “
Diana’s brother recently said he suffered from a “painful and unpleasant” shoulder injury, which affected his freedom of movement, but it is not clear why he was not present.
During the celebrations, Kitty wore a series of dresses made by fashion house Dolce & Gabbana.
Her main dress showed off an intricate floral lace pattern, a high neck, long sleeves, and puffed shoulders.
Dolce & Gabbana’s Alta Moda division reportedly spent around six months creating Kitty’s wedding dress at their embroidery factory and workshop in Milan.
