The PRINCE Charles biographer criticized Harry and Meghan for being “vicious, cruel and horribly selfish”.
Jonathan Dimbleby said the couple caused “great damage” to the Queen and the rest of the Royal Family during their revealing conversation with Oprah Winfrey.

Speaking at the Buxton International Festival in Derbyshire this week, the veteran broadcaster, 76, said, as reported by the Daily Mail: “I think the interview was a very big disgrace.

“I think it caused great damage of an undeserved kind to the Royal Household and in particular to the Queen and her family. “

The explosive show saw Harry say that there was “a lot of wrong” between him and his father and that Charles had stopped taking his calls.

He also alleged that he was cut financially after Megxit.

Dimbleby, whose father Richard was the first reporter to do a TV interview with a member of the royal family on a 1961 Panorama show with Prince Philip, claimed it was wrong to talk about these matters in public.

He said: “Harry’s remarks about his father, I just don’t understand.

“I think there are some things you should say and do in private.

“I think a lot of the innuendoes he made were inconsistent with the facts. “

He went on to describe the interview, in which Meghan and Harry also accused the royal family of racism and ignoring calls for help from the suicidal Duchess, as “vicious, cruel and horribly selfish”.

And he claimed that Harry was “a little led by the nose by his wife”.

Dimbleby added he was “very disappointed” with the Duke of Sussex’s behavior, especially after meeting him “when he was young”.

At this point, he was a “charming, very kind” man “who had served very well in the armed forces,” he said.

‘HORRIBEMENT AUTO-SERVICE’

The presenter and author interviewed Charles on television in 1994 and wrote Prince of Wales: A Biography the same year.

During the televised conversation, Charles admitted his affair with Camilla while he was still married to Princess Diana.

The historic interview made waves in the royal family, fearing that Charles’s admission could cost him the throne.

Philippe would have been particularly indignant at his son.

Royal author Penny Junor wrote in her book, The Firm, The Troubled Life of the House of Windsor: “The Duke of Edinburgh was furious, the rest of the family stunned, the Queen’s advisers and courtiers stunned, the Prince’s friends in dismay.

I think it caused great damage of an undeserved kind to the royal household and in particular to the Queen and her family.

Harry followed in his father’s footsteps with his Oprah interview, mental health documentary and celebrity podcast interview.

And his latest announcement, that he was secretly writing a memoir, threatens to widen the family divide and put the royal party in turmoil.

Harry pledged to examine the ‘ups and downs’ of her extraordinary life in his autobiography – on the occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee next year.

The Palace would have been warned that it “should be afraid” of what would follow.

The Duke works with Pulitzer Prize winner JR Moehringer, who wrote memoirs for tennis legend Andre Agassi and Nike co-founder Phil Knight.

He’s signed with publisher Penguin Random House and will donate all costs to charity after making tens of millions of dollars with Netflix and Spotify.

The currently untitled book is slated for release in 2022 – as Her Majesty celebrates 70 years of service.
