Katie, who is currently in quarantine at a Sydney hotel, took to Instagram to mock lockdown rules in the city and Melbourne
The former Apprentice star, who is slated to appear on Celebrity Big Brother in the country, admitted to breaking the rules in a lengthy Instagram clip she has now deleted.
She boasted of having opened her bare door to hoteliers who delivered food to her.
Australians stranded abroad due to restrictions were stunned by Katie’s comment attacking Katie for joking about the Covid rules.
Some claim to have reported her to the police for breaking the lockdown and flashing.
If she is found guilty of the offenses, she risks deportation.
Hopkins laughed at the Australian residents, saying, “I think these are ** t bulls. I think these are ** t bulls that I can be here and you can’t.
The hashtag – #SendHopkinsHome! – is now all the rage on Twitter and more than 3,000 people have signed the petition calling for her to be expelled from the country.
It reads: “By her own admission, British far-right commentator Katie Hopkins – banned from Twitter for hateful conduct and known for spreading misinformation about COVID – flouted Australia’s hotel quarantine rules after she was brought to Australia by Channel 7 for a season of Celebrity Big Brother.
“By her actions, she encourages others to do the same, calling the lockdown a ‘hoax.’ Since the start of the pandemic, the majority of Australians have done what they have been asked to do so that we can live COVID-free lives.
“If Katie Hopkins is so reluctant to follow the rules to keep our country safe, she shouldn’t be here. Big Brother & Channel 7: You must send her home.
“After Katie Hopkins’ long history of hate speech, it’s impossible to believe that she even passed the character test to receive a visa. I don’t want her here and if you don’t want her here either.
