At a press conference, Gov. Larry Hogan said unvaccinated Marylanders accounted for 100% of covid-related deaths in June, 95% of all new cases and 93% of hospitalizations.

More than 3.44 million adults in Maryland are fully immunized. State officials also reported that the state’s positivity increased slightly to 0.82%.

Hospitalizations fell from two to 113. Of those hospitalized, 79 remain in acute care and 34 remain in intensive care.

Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 462,980 total confirmed cases and 9,544 deaths.

There are 3,446,199 fully vaccinated Marylanders. The state administered 6,949,861 doses. Of these, 3,503,662 are first doses, of which 4,826 were administered in the last 24 hours. They administered 3,181,945 second doses, 7,134 on the last day.

The state resumed giving the Johnson & Johnson vaccine in April, after the CDC and FDA lifted their hiatus on the vaccine due to a rare blood clot found in some women.
