The ITV soap opera Coronation Street is set to welcome an old character back to the cobblestones, but the character who plays her will be completely different.
The series prepares for the return of Imran Habeeb’s ex-wife – but she will no longer be alike.

That’s because Sabeen will now be played by a different actress that viewers are likely to recognize.

The role was previously played by Avita Jay during her brief stint on screen in August 2018.

But actress Zora Bishop, who played Emily Warlow in the hit crime drama Unforgotten, will now take over.

Viewers can also recognize her from passages on Casualty, and she also voiced the video game Assassin’s Creed: Origins.

Sabeen, a lawyer who will be remembered by viewers, will return as part of a love triangle, Birmingham Live reports.

Imran will be torn between his current partner Toyah Battersby, played by Georgia Taylor, and his ex-wife.

Sabeen will face lawyer Imran in his fight to protect his adopted daughter Kelly Neela, played by Millie Gibson, as she stands on trial for the murder of Seb Franklin alongside Corey Brent, played by Maximus Evans.

Former Hollyoaks star Daniel Jillings is another newbie joining the show.

And viewers also recently recognized another Hollyoaks star on the cobblestones on a double bill.

Lucy Dixon was on the show Monday night, during a double bill that revealed Curtis’ secret health condition.
