Nuno scores first signing as Tottenham beat Man Utd at £ 15million – .

Nuno Espirito Santo appears to have landed his first signing as Tottenham boss, with a report claiming a deal has been reached for Japanese star Takehiro Tomiyasu.
Spurs have been approached to land the versatile Bologna defender in recent weeks. But Athleticism states that the two clubs are currently in the process of finalizing the terms of the agreement, with Tomiyasu is expected to cost around £ 15million and up.

the Athletic The report also claims that Manchester United were also keen to sign the player. However, Tottenham has always been Tomiyasu’s favorite destination.

The 22-year-old excelled in a Bologna side that finished a respectable 12th in Serie A last season. He made 33 appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.

With Nuno looking to bring in at least two new center-backs, Tomiyasu’s versatility will be a big plus for Spurs.

The Japan international, who has won 23 caps for his country, can play as a center-back or right-back.

He’s also comfortable playing in a three-way back, a formation Nuno often prefers over Wolves.

The signing will also be the first for new sporting director Fabio Paratici. The Italian knows Tomiyasu’s qualities from his previous role with Juventus.

The £ 15million fee also looks like a steal for a player who has spent two seasons in the Italian top flight and is also a seasoned international.

Tottenham are now hoping Tomiyasu can adapt quickly to English football, as Paratici and Nuno look to other targets.
