The conviction comes after Christina Greer was convicted in March of three counts of first-degree sexual assault on a minor after abusing two boys, aged 12 and 13, in 2018.
She was also found guilty of two counts of witness tampering and six counts of child abuse, the Omaha World-Herald reported.
She must serve 32 years before being eligible for parole. Without parole, she must serve 51 years. She will be credited for the time she spent in prison awaiting trial and conviction.
Phil Kleine, assistant district attorney in the Sarpy County District Attorney’s Office, said, “This case has taken three and a half years from arrest to conviction.”
“The victims must have been through a lot, to put it lightly. I hope that with the sentence of the court, the victims will be able to find a form of denouement and will be able to move forward in their lives, ”he added.
Mr Kleine said Greer gave alcohol and gummy bears containing marijuana to his 11-year-old daughter and friends at sleepovers in 2017 and 2018.
The girl testified at a preliminary hearing that Greer told her not to tell anyone what happened at their house because Greer would be in trouble and risk losing his children.
A Sarpy County Sheriff’s Deputy said at this hearing that a 13-year-old boy told the deputy in an interview that he had sex with Greer three times at sleepovers in the House.
Sarpy County is located south of Omaha, in eastern Nebraska.
Greer’s daughter and the MP have identified six teenagers or tweens who have repeatedly spent weekends at home.
Greer was found not guilty on one count of first degree sexual assault of a minor and one count of seducing children. Regarding the case of the charge of seducing children, one additional victim was identified, leading to a total of seven minors.
Mr Kleine said Greer’s daughter testified that she heard her mother and a boy in her bedroom and that they kissed. A teenager also said that at the time the girl said her mother was having sex with the boy, Mr Kleine added according to the Omaha World-Herald.
