Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca switched to amber last week due to an increase in cases; however, many people had already booked to go when they were on the green list.
As Scotland moved to level 0 of its coronavirus restrictions, one at Glasgow Airport for the 7:15 am Jet2 flight was Jacqui Sutherland.
Ms Sutherland, traveling to Ibiza for a week with her partner, told the PA news agency: ‘We booked while he was on the green (list) and then we kind of wondered what to do. when it switched to amber.
“But because we are doubly vaccinated, we don’t need to quarantine. My friend is a travel consultant and said if anything happened they would send flights to take you home before it turned red.
“That’s why we booked when it was green because if it turned orange, we always agreed… a very small problem but we go there anyway because for the moment everything is fine.
“My two daughters only got one shot, so they’re not okay at all because it’s too risky. ”
