Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher revealed on recent episode of Dax Shepard‘s “Expert in armchairs” podcast that the couple is saving a lot of money on soap.
After Kunis admitted that she had had “horrible skin” most of her life and had taken “several rounds” of Accutane medication, but could not resolve her acne until after the childbirth and her “hormones balanced in the right direction,” the conversation drifted into the bath and shower.
Shepard said he tried to convince co-host Monica Padman to stop washing her entire body with soap every day and just cleaning certain areas – like “the soles and the holes” – to keep the natural body oils.
Kunis agreed with Shepard, saying that she doesn’t “wash her body with soap every day” and only focuses on the essentials.
“I wash my armpits and crotch every day and nothing else ever,” Kutcher said.
Kunis explained that her lax outlook on bathing is due to the fact that she didn’t “have hot water growing up, so I didn’t shower much anyway.”
And now the same goes for her and Kutcher’s two children, Wyatt, 6, and Dimitri, 4.
“I was never the parent who bathed my newborns,” Kunis said.
And now that they’re older, Kutcher says they have a system.
“If you can see the dirt on them, clean them up,” he said. “Otherwise, it’s no use. “
Hey, if Kutcher is ever to travel to space, there is one key piece we know that he probably won’t pack.
