And Markle could be about to write her own sensational memoir – following in her husband’s footsteps.
In fact, royal watchers wonder if a memoir by Markle will be the first chapter in a pivot to his long-held political aspirations.
Markle, who gave birth to baby daughter Lilibet in June, has been relatively silent since appearing with Harry during her explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey in March.
Following our Royal Exclusive this week that Harry signed an estimated $ 20 million book deal with Random House, it was later confirmed that the Penguin Random House deal was actually four books.
Aside from Harry’s memoirs, there will be a rumored wellbeing book from Markle.
And now we’re told that Markle and Harry will team up for a book that’s described as “leadership and philanthropy” focused.
The Sussex camp was forced on Friday night to deny that Harry’s memoir will be split in two, with a second chapter due to be published after the death of his grandmother, the Queen.
A spokesperson for the couple told Page Six that contrary to reported information, Harry had only planned one memoir and that it should be released in late 2022, as originally announced.
Sources added that it was “appalling” to link anything to the death of the Queen.
A source who knows the couple told us: “With such a steady pace of all of Harry’s announcements, you have to imagine Meghan’s dial is going to be dialed.
“One can only think that she would absolutely write a memoir – she has been candid with those who know her about her political aspirations going forward. “
Meghan’s recent children’s book ‘The Bench’ was published by Random House, but the deal was made in 2019 and is not part of this new deal.
A representative from Sussex was not available for comment.
