The Republican representative erected a false barrier under the famous dome in the center of the U.S. Capitol to protest the newly reinstated mask warrants.
In pictures posted to Mrs Greene Twitter Friday, she signals to two masked people to cross the “checkpoint”, consisting of a rope and a support placed in the middle of the rotunda.
“It’s on the House side, Nancy Pelosi will have you arrested,” she whispers, smiling and glancing at the camera.
“It’s on the Senate side, come on. “
Shortly after, the rope and brackets are removed by security.
“Democrats really hate walls. Especially my COVID border checkpoint, ”Ms. Greene wrote on Twitter.
The reintroduction of mandatory mask use in the House sparked days of performative outrage from Republicans.
On Thursday, 40 maskless Republican lawmakers, including Ms Greene and Lauren Boebert, burst into the Senate Chamber to protest the settlement.
Ms Boebert allegedly threw a face mask at a congressman after being asked to wear one and Ms Greene had previously shredded a fine for refusing to wear a face covering.
The protests prompted Capitol Hill Police Chief Thomas Manger to order officers to report any member of Congress who refuses to wear a mask, warning they would face arrest for illegal entry under Code CC 22-3302.
Meanwhile, Republican House Representatives Thomas Massie and Nancy Mace challenged Pelosi and the police to come after them.
