Love Island star Jack Fincham appeared in court today to deny driving while under the influence of cocaine and Valium.

The 29-year-old was arrested by police driving his £ 30,000 Mercedes about a mile from his home in Swanley, Kent, Sevenoaks Magistrates’ Court has learned.

Prosecutors say Fincham had 239 micrograms of benzoylecgonine – a byproduct of cocaine – per liter of blood. The limit is 50 micrograms.

They say he also had 632 micrograms of diazepam – the chemical name for the sedative valium – per liter of blood while the limit is 550.

Fincham was seen arriving at Sevenoaks Magistrates Court today with his stepfather, Fraser McManus, who came to support him.

The celebrity, who arrived in court shortly after noon, had to wait until 2:45 p.m. for her case to be heard.

His two-year-old white Mercedes C200 AMG was stopped on the B2173 on January 4, according to the indictment.

He was charged with two counts of driving a motor vehicle with a specified proportion of a controlled drug above the specified limit.

Fincham, wearing a black t-shirt and khaki chinos, pleaded not guilty to both counts.

Explaining the offenses, prosecutor Pietro Matarazzo said: “The police have arrested Mr. Fincham. They did a roadside drug test. They analyzed the swab that came back with these readings.

He said officers could testify via live link if called to a trial which could last a day and a half.

The prosecutor said camera footage worn on the body could be presented as evidence.

Connor Johnstone’s advocate said: “Mr. Fincham denies any use of cocaine. “

He said Fincham, present in court on postal requisition, would be called as a witness to testify himself.

An expert witness can also testify for the defense to comment on the time it took for a preliminary test result to be returned.

Judicial President Louise Bright has given both sides 28 days to submit additional evidence.

Fincham, of Swanley, Kent, who greeted the Chief Justice before leaving the wharf shortly after 3 p.m., was released on unconditional bail to appear in Maidstone Magistrates’ Court at 10 a.m. on December 9.
