Disney+ Loki, with what we now know is just his premier season finale, introduced a major character from the MCU. And Wunmi Mosaku’s Hunter B-15 may have done a double take when she first laid eyes on him!
As highly speculated – although the actor tried just a few weeks ago to exonerate our sister site Variety, citing a possible Loki appearance, “I have no idea what you’re talking about” – Lovecraft CountryJonathan Majors was featured prominently in the Marvel Series Season 1 finale, playing a character called The One Who Remains.
The majors should of course star in the MCU movie Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (in theaters February 2023) as Marvel villain Kang the Conqueror. And although his Loki The character admitted that he was known by “many names” including as a “conqueror”, Kang’s name was never declared out of hand.
Kang’s story, however, matches a story He Who Remains told about a variant of himself who, a long, long time ago, as a 31st century scientist, discovered other universes stacked on top of our own. Alas, other variants of said scientist did the same, a power struggle ensued, and…. Whether or (our full rundown will detail his spiel later)… Whoever Remains tamed and armed Alioth to end this multiversal war and formed the TVA to maintain one timeline and avoid others.
This news will not spoil the Loki final further, but suffice to say that the majors will definitely be reviewed – in Ant-Man 3, as is known, if not other places.
