Not because of what he did at Anfield, but because he was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing.
However, things haven’t gone as planned for Grujic on Merseyside since joining Liverpool from Red Star Belgrade in January 2016.
The Serb never managed to make a good impression in Klopp’s plans and was forced to spend most of his five and a half years in England on loan elsewhere.

Now, with his contract expiring in 2023, combined with Liverpool’s need to raise funds for his own sack this summer, Grujic could be set to move away from Anfield according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian journalist reported that Grujic could be a potential target to replace Euro 2020 star Manuel Locatelli, who left Sassuolo this summer.
Liverpool fans have taken to social media to react to the information they are clearly very happy with.
Grujic has only appeared 16 times in all competitions for Liverpool under Klopp, with the midfielder more than doubling his appearances on loan with FC Porto last season.
With two years left on his current contract and Grujic now 25, it seems like the perfect time for the player and the club to move on.
