Lightning’s Kucherov signs with Bud Light after epic press conference – .

It looks like Nikita Kucherov will be drinking sponsored beer outside of the Stanley Cup this offseason.
The Tampa Bay Lightning star signed a contract with Bud Light, the company said on Friday, after the iconic press conference following his team’s second straight Stanley Cup win on Wednesday.

A shirtless Kucherov, who reportedly appeared in all five of the Cup final with a fractured rib, sat down in front of reporters and drank beer before being brutally outspoken in his media availability after the championship.

“I didn’t want to go back to Montreal,” said Kucherov, with the infamous Bud Light sitting in front of him, during the interview. “Montreal fans, come on. They acted like they won the Stanley Cup in the last game. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? Their finale was the last series.

Bud Light wasted no time securing a contract with the Lightning winger, who went so far as to complain about the length of media availability on Wednesday after his beer ran out.

“Well, there are also a lot of questions today. Come on. I’m used to one, two questions. Today is it like what, five? I can make a record.

Kucherov is no stranger to breaking records. He joined Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux as the only players to lead the skaters in playoff points two years in a row. After missing the entire regular season, the Russian amassed 32 points in the Stanley Cup playoffs, including a two-goal, three-point performance in Game 1 of the Finals.

No wonder he’s thirsty.
