The “Entourage” actor said he and his one-month-old daughter, Kennedy Cruz, had contracted COVID-19 Delta Variant. Although he insisted that they are back on the “road to recovery,” the new dad said it has been a tough week for his family.
“My daughter, she has COVID,” said Connolly, 47, in the July 23 episode of “Victory the Podcast”.
“It’s hard when your child is sick,” he added. “There really is nothing you can do about her. She’s doing great, just the congestion part. But the fever subsided.
Although he caught the Delta variant, Connolly admitted to being “doubly vaccinated” for saving him from a potentially worse outcome.
“There is no doubt in my mind that this vaccine saved me a lot because the symptoms, although brutal, were manageable,” the actor explained. “I’ve passed it now, but without this vaccine I wouldn’t want to be part of this Delta variant of the coronavirus. “
Connolly has revealed that although he and his daughter have COVID-19, his partner, Zulay Henao, has not contracted the virus.
« [Zulay] is negative, ”Connolly explained. “Which further proves that the vaccine works because she basically has two sick crying babies, myself and Kennedy, draped over her and she hasn’t gotten sick. Because she is vaccinated.
Connolly and Henao welcomed Kennedy, their first child together, in June. The couple met in 2018 when Connolly headed out with Henao in three episodes of “The Oath.”
They did not confirm their romance until they went official on Instagram in January 2020 on a ski trip to Lake Tahoe.
