Kenny Dalglish throws Celtic transfer challenge as he raves about Rangers – .

Kenny Dalglish installed the Rangers as title favorites as he praised the serenity surrounding Steven Gerrard’s side.
The Celtic and Liverpool legend believes Rangers have a sedentary side with the only question mark surrounding Alfredo Morelos’ future.

Rangers could also be strengthened by qualifying for the Champions League, which could earn Ibrox up to £ 30million.

Meanwhile, Dalglish believes Angel Postecoglou faces an uphill battle this season with at least four new additions needed before the transfer window closes.

The 70-year-old, who has scored over 100 goals for Celtic, believes Parkhead’s side are determined to win back the title this season, but Dalglish admits it would be a surprise.

He told the Sunday Post: “The Rangers are the team to beat and, comparing the Old Firm, they look like the much more settled squad and club right now.

Steven Gerrard and his players go about their business, and there isn’t too much speculation around his players, although Alfredo Morelos’ future still seems to be on the agenda.

“So Steven may have to bring in another striker in that window – but I think Celtic have yet to bring in four or five new players.

“Ange will want his business to be complete, and the ins and outs will be decided as quickly as possible.

“Celtic fans will be wondering how their team will play this season after the disappointment of their 10-in-a-row campaign.

“I can sense a real determination on the part of the Parkhead loyalists to support their team to reclaim the Ibrox title over the next 10 months.

“But it will take something special to get him away from south Glasgow. This is what makes it all very fascinating.

“August will tell us a lot.

“I know it will still be at the start of the campaign, but the transfer window will then be closed and the numbers known.

“Celtic trip to Ibrox on August 29, and it will be an absolute cracker.

“Rangers are also in the Champions League qualifiers and they are chasing a prize of over £ 30million. It’s a huge carrot to hang in front of them.

“It looks like they will face Malmö in their first draw, and the Swedes are a very capable team.

“It will take all the experience that Steven and his players have accumulated on the European stage to win this one. “
