Jules Kounde: Chelsea in talks with Sevilla on signing a French central defender

Chelsea are in talks with Sevilla over signing France international Jules Kounde.

The 22-year-old center-back joined the Spanish club two years ago and has established himself as one of Europe’s most promising defenders.

He helped Sevilla qualify for the Champions League last season and was part of the France squad for Euro 2020 this summer.

Kounde has also sparked interest from Manchester City, who spoke to Sevilla about his signing last season.

A versatile performer, Koundé can line up at the right-back if necessary, as well as his usual position in the heart of the defense.

He currently has a three-year contract left with Sevilla – who just parted ways with exciting winger Bryan Gil after joining Spurs in a partial swap deal that saw Erik Lamela take the opposite direction.

Chelsea to review offers for Abraham

Tammy Abraham sparks interest from Arsenal and West Ham

Chelsea will consider any offer for 23-year-old forward Tammy Abraham.

London rivals Arsenal are interested in Abraham, although they would prefer an initial loan while Chelsea would prefer a permanent deal.

Chelsea are believed to want over £ 40million for Abraham and West Ham is also interested.

Abraham made 32 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea last season – but only seven of them were coached by Thomas Tuchel, who arrived in the middle of the season and led the club to Champions League success.

Abraham – whose contract ends in 2023 – has consistently finished Chelsea’s top scorer in all competitions with 12 goals.

Chelsea are looking for a new striker and Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland is one of the many players they are interested in.
