Joe Biden Drops Capitol Rioters – “I Don’t Care If You Think I’m Satan” | World

President Biden said he didn’t care that people thought he was “Satan reincarnated,” but told a CNN town hall that people couldn’t ignore what happened during the riots in Canada. Capitol earlier this year. Biden, 78, said: “I don’t care if you think I’m Satan reincarnated the point is you can’t watch this TV and say nothing happened on the 6th.

“You can’t listen to people who say it was a peaceful march. ”
A YouGov poll after January 6 found that Republican voters were divided over their support for those who stormed Capitol Hill.

Just under half, 45%, actively expressed their support for the insurgency, compared to 43% of Republican voters who opposed it.

The 46th President was responding to CNN moderator Don Lemon, who asked Biden if he trusted the bipartisan committee that was to be set up to investigate the insurgency led by supporters of Donald Trump.

A 13-member House committee was convened last month, but Republicans and Democrats have colluded to nominate politicians who can be appointed to the group.
Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Wednesday vetoed two nominations made by Grand Old Party parliamentary minority leader Kevin McCarthy.

Pelosi, 81, refused to accept Jim Banks of Indiana and Jim Jordan of Ohio on the committee because the two had voted to overturn the 2020 election result just hours after the Capitol was taken.

“Out of respect for the integrity of the investigation, insisting on the truth and worrying about the statements made and actions taken by these members, I must reject the recommendations of Representatives Banks and Jordan to the select committee,” said declared the Speaker of the House.

President Biden responded to recent developments in Washington by saying, “The kind of things that are being said lately, I think you are starting to see it, and by the Democrats as well, this venom is sort of starting to flow.”

The January 6 riots followed a few turbulent months for US politics.

After Biden defeated Trump by 81.2 million votes to 74.2 million, the outgoing Republican president said the 270 race was rigged.

The Trump team has not provided any evidence to support such claims which remain completely unfounded.
