Click through the slideshow for a full list of DC's planned movies, as well as HBO Max's growing line of DCEU series. Some are scheduled and have release dates while others are still in development and subject to change - or may not happen at all. Note: As of December 2020, Warner Bros. announced that in 2021, it will make all 17 of its theatrical films that hit that year available for an exclusive one-month window on HBO Max in addition to their theatrical release. The movies will not require any additional cost for HBO Max subscribers. Of course, all release dates are still subject to change due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. »Src =» https://assets1.ignimgs.com/2020/11/24/dceu-slideshow-1606185150006.jpg?width=888&crop=16%3A9&quality=20&dpr=0.05 ″ class = »jsx-2920405963 progressive-image image jsx-2126225085 expand loading

If it comes back, Simmons will play the leader of Gotham PD as well as the father of Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl. In the Heights star, Leslie Grace was cast to play the role of Batgirl with the team of directors Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah set to direct the feature.

Since the last Simmons movie appeared as Gordon was a DCEU movie, it’s possible that Batgirl is set in the same universe as Zack Snyder’s Justice League instead of the next Batman universe with Robert Pattinson .

While considering how fast and free DC plays with its interconnected universe, that’s not necessarily a guarantee either. And if so, it won’t be the first time Simmons has jumped across universes to play the same role.

Possible DCEU cameos from the Flash movie

There’s a lot of shenanigans going on in the DC universe anyway. The upcoming Flash movie will feature both Ben Affleck’s Batman and Michael Keaton’s Batman, as well as newcomers like Supergirl.

Regardless, WB appears to be speeding up Batgirl for HBO Max. Check out our overview of each DC project currently in development.
