JAMMU: India filed a strong objection on Saturday against Pakistani authorities’ drone activities in the Jammu areas during a sector commander-level meeting between the Border Security Force and Pakistani Rangers.
The commanders of the two border guard forces discussed various issues, with the BSF delegation focusing on Pakistani drone activities, terrorist activities and the digging of tunnels across the border and other border management issues, a BSF spokesperson said.
A very strong protest was lodged by BSF delegates over Pakistani authorities’ drone activities in the Jammu area, officials said.
At the same time, both sides expressed their commitment to maintain peace and harmony within the IB, the officials added.
“It was the first sector commander-level meeting between two border guard forces after the declaration of a ceasefire agreement by the DGMOs (in February),” the spokesperson said.
“The meeting took place in a cordial, positive and constructive atmosphere and both parties agreed to swiftly implement the decisions taken in previous DG-level talks and are committed to each other. to maintain peace and harmony within the IB, ”he added.
