HVacationers face heartache as the travel list was finally revealed on Wednesday.
The Balearic Islands – which include Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca – have been moved to the orange list.
Social media was inundated with British travelers sharing their disappointment at the news.
In addition, the British Virgin Islands have been downgraded to the Amber List.
Four countries have now joined the red list following the latest Covid travel review.
But Bulgaria and Hong Kong will be placed on the green list from Freedom Day on July 19.
Croatia and Taiwan will be added to the green list but under the “watch list”, which means that it could be threatened to move to the amber list when the travel list is revised again.
Grant Shapps confirmed which countries would move to the Green, Red and Orange lists.
The Secretary of State for Transport has reminded double-bitten travelers that they can return to England from the Amber Countries without quarantine.
He wrote a series of tweets which read: “Four countries and territories will join the red list to protect our national vaccine deployment. necessary to protect public health.
“We are also moving the Balearic Islands and the British Virgin Islands to the Amber List – previously on the Green Watch List. Also, from 07/19 if you are fully #Vaccinated in the UK, you can return to England from Orange countries and territories without needing to quarantine.
“From 4 am on Monday July 19, Bulgaria and Hong Kong will be added to the green list and Croatia and Taiwan to the green list of destinations. Please check the latest travel tips before you travel, as countries and territories may have additional requirements before you travel.
