Henri Winkler thinks the world has to go through a “cataclysmic event” to help bring people together since we are so divided – but his idea is gaining momentum… HUH?!?
The actor tweeted the controversial sentiment on Sunday, seemingly out of nowhere and without much context. He wrote… “We are so divided as a country… only a cataclysmic event, which again makes us depend on each other, can bring us together. “
We are so divided as a country .. only a cataclysmic event, which makes us dependent on each other again, can bring us together.
Like we said… not a lot of info here to get an idea of what exactly Henry is talking about – but it could be anything… frankly, we ARE pretty divided these days -om politics to bit by bit. almost everything else.
That said… his call for a big boom moment is characterized as insensitive, muffled, and oddly out of touch – especially since we, you know, have just gone through (and are still going through) a global pandemic … which you think meets HW’s criteria for it.
The pandemic pushed the world inside, creating a world of its own
People obviously reported this to Henry, and he got the message… but responded somewhat cryptically, writing… “The pandemic has pushed the world inside creating a world of its own. What we think he’s saying is… this pandemic isn’t the disaster he had in mind – on the contrary, he seems to believe COVID is just pushing us further away.
We won’t try to get into Henry’s head, but anyway… people say he hasn’t really thought about this one really well, and his remarks seem a little… half-baked.
