HBO Games of Thrones House of the Dragon prequel stops production – .

According to Deadline, HBO has announced that the filming of their next Game of thrones prequel series Dragon house was temporarily on hold due to a crew member testing positive for COVID-19. This is the last major production that was shut down in the UK as it was also recently reported that Netflix’s hit romantic drama series Bridgerton had also interrupted filming due to a positive case of COVID-19.
The point of sale notes that said team member is part of production area A, which consists of the actors and the team. Therefore, in accordance with industry guidelines, the affected production member was forced to self-isolate with close contacts also being quarantined. Manufacturing on Dragon house is expected to resume on Wednesday.

Based on George RR Martin Fire and blood, Dragon house recounts the rise and fall of the Targaryens, who are the only dragonlord family to survive Valyria’s Fate. It will take place 300 years before the events of the award-winning series adaptation of Game of thrones which aired its last episode almost two years ago.

The 10-episode series will be directed by Paddy Considine, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Emma D’Arcy as Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
