Gordon Ramsay offered to compensate a disappointed couple when their dream wedding venue was overrun by Gordon Ramsay and his film crew.

Charlie Willis, 35, and his wife Laura, 29, paid £ 1,300 for their ceremony and a meal for six on a private beach in Cornwall last month.

Celebrity chef Gordon, 54, was filming the new Future Food Stars show on the same day on Lusty Glaze Beach near Newquay.

The star reportedly used the venue’s kitchen and the film crew were standing on the sandy beach.

Charlie told The Sun, “It was all a complete kitchen nightmare.

“We had both worked so hard to save for that day and felt like extras on a game show. “

Charlie and Laura received a letter of apology from Gordon’s television production company Studio Ramsay offering to pay them £ 1,300 as a gesture of goodwill.

A producer from the company wrote: “I am mortified that we have affected your special day. “

It was announced that Future Food Stars will go into production in April of this year.

The show has been described as’ the chefs’ apprentice ‘, with 12 prospects clashing.

The winner will receive an investment for their kitchen.

Gordon said at the time: “The future of our food industry has never been more exciting. I can’t wait to search across the country for some of Britain’s most entrepreneurial talent.

“I have spent the past 21 years at the Gordon Ramsay Restaurant nurturing, supporting and mentoring some of Britain’s top chefs and that is really why I think investing in the next generation of talented individuals is so important. ! “
