Erika Jayne implored her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars Crystal Kung Minkoff and Lisa Rinna to be educated about their finances – using herself as an edifying tale.
“I’m going to teach you a lesson that I learned,” Jayne said. “You see what’s happening to me today. Please take a look at your bank accounts. You have to. “
“Don’t ignore it,” she warned. “The more money your husband earns, the more they exclude you,” she added. “And then 22 years later, it doesn’t end well. “
Rinna, 58, immediately agreed with Jayne, 50, although Minkoff, 38, explained that “a bank account freaks [her] outside. ”
Rinna, meanwhile, explained in a confessional that she “pays the bills” and that she and her husband Harry Hamlin have both joint and personal accounts.
Jayne filed for divorce from former lawyer Tom Girardi, 82, in November 2020 after two decades of marriage. The former couple were accused of using their divorce to embezzle money and hide property from victims of the Lion Air flight 610 in a lawsuit filed the following month.
Jayne told Minkoff and Rinna on Wednesday that she had no idea the lawsuit against them was coming and denied that she was hiding any assets. She said she repeatedly asked Girardi to shed some light on their situation, but was “continually excluded”.
“I begged. I begged. I cried. I tried. I pushed as hard as I could until I couldn’t push anymore, ”she said.
“The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
