Eminem has yet to offer his condolences on the death of rapper Biz Markie, who died on Friday at the age of 57.
Celebrity site TMZ reported that Biz died in a Baltimore hospital at 6:25 p.m. Friday night. He said the rapper’s wife Tara Hall held his hand as he took his last breath.
Nurses were there to support his family, telling them how strong he was in his fight, according to the report.
Tributes poured in shortly after the sad news online. Snoop Dogg and several others in the music industry have paid tribute to Biz Markie.
Eminem fans remembered the deceased for his Godzilla video from last year which the Detroit rapper enjoyed watching.
The hit song was covered by several amateur rappers after its release in 2021. Hundreds of people followed the trend after Eminem launched the challenge on social media.
Instead of trying to rap the track, Biz Markie lip-synced Eminem’s Godzilla in a hilarious way, leaving his fans in a mess.
The “Lose Yourself,” who often use their social media accounts to offer condolences on the death of a friend, has yet to respond to Biz Markie’s death.
Fans of the late rapper were hoping Eminem would tweet or share a tribute on Instagram, but were disappointed as within hours of Biz’s death there was no reaction from Slim Shaddy.
