And Ed Sheeran was cut off in an interview when he got a call from the UK Home Office to make sure he was in danger.

The clip shows Ed, 30, chatting with Harry Potter cast Oliver and James Phelps for their Normal not Normal podcast when he takes the urgent call.

Covid government officials spoke to the singer for a few minutes to confirm he was following quarantine rules.

On the podcast, Ed took the call and apologized for having to suspend the interview.

The singer said, “Wait, wait, government, hello? ”

His manager Stuart Camp joked, “It’s like being called by your teacher. “

Ed had shared several teasers of the video and his new track before last Friday’s release.
