Dean Cain criticizes new Captain America comic and the internet responds – .

Marvel Comics tends to shake up the status quo when it comes to their beloved characters and what they stand for, which can lead fans to express their disappointment at such changes, with Lois and Clark star Dean Cain recently weighed in on the new series the Captain America’s United States. The actor shared on Fox and his friends that he felt the show was only profiting from “awakening and anti-Americanism” as he expressed his love for the country’s values. He would later take to Twitter to confirm that he hadn’t read the comic, making him oblivious to the context of the passages shared during the show.

“I love the concept of Captain America, but I’m so tired of this awakening and anti-Americanism,” Cain explained in the show, by Hollywood journalist. “In my opinion, America is the greatest country in history. It’s not perfect. We are constantly striving for a more perfect union, but I think it is the fairest and most equitable country we have ever seen, and that is why people are clamoring to come here from all over the world.

He added, “Supporting the flag and the red, white and blue in the United States of America makes me a revolutionary in some ways, which is fine with me. I think the pendulum will come back to openly appreciating American values, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights as soon as people start studying them again in school. “

Naturally, fans of Captain America and Superman were quick to weigh in on the matter.

After fans directly indicated that the quotes referenced in the program had been taken out of context entirely, Cain admitted he hadn’t read the book, but stuck to his remarks.

Marvel describes the new series: “The shield has been stolen! No one understands the shield’s value like those who wielded it, so Steve Rogers and Sam Wilson set out on a road trip across America to hunt the thief. But instead, they find the Captains, ordinary people from all walks of life who have taken on the mantle of Captain America to defend their communities. And for some reason, the Shield Thief wants them all dead. Can Sam and Steve reach them first? “
