Celtic boss Postecoglou has no board backing – .

ANGE POSTECOGLOU has no authority at Celtic, no backing, no backing from the board – and virtually no chance of success.
Unless things change, there is no point in him being there.

For now, if I were him, I would pack my bags and go.

Postecoglou might as well resign and come back to Australia.

This is a guy who had to stew in a hotel room when he was supposed to self-quarantine when he arrived in the country.

Yet now he is forced to wait for players who will have to go through the same process.

Celtic didn’t notice it? The league kicks off this weekend, but they’re far from ready to challenge the Rangers for the title.

It’s as if they think the Premiership won’t start until September.

They were so short-sighted in recent seasons by their dream of ten in a row that they completely looked away from the ball.

And now the Celts have become so VICIED.

President Iain Bankier receives an exceptional annual salary, what for? The Celts need new, young blood in their boardroom and fresh ideas.

They are currently on the hunt for a new goalkeeper, despite spending £ 5million a year ago when they only had to keep Craig Gordon.

The other day it was even suggested that Celtic should bring Gordon back. As if it was going to happen!

People have to stop living in the land of the cloudy cuckoos as far as the Celts are concerned.

It’s time for them to wake up, smell the coffee and see what’s going on in there.

I have been critical in the past and have been ridiculed by Celtic fans. But now they agree with pretty much everything I said.

I had my say in Leigh Griffiths’ situation 18 months ago and I was blasted.

These fans were all so blinded, like their board, because their team was winning – but now they’re booing one of their own.

But I’m going to give them this, they’re right to be at the top of this board and hammer them out for the way they behaved.

If I invested my money in the club at the rate some of them have gone down over the years, I wouldn’t be impressed either.

Celtic have made fortunes for players over the years, but they find themselves miles behind Rangers.

We talked about it last week, but their four fullbacks in that European tie were just right RIDICULE.

Tony Ralston had been loaned to other teams in Scotland and he was so ordinary that I’m not sure any of them would get him back.

Still, he found himself as Celtic’s only right-back. How is it possible. So who is recruiting his players at the moment?

Postecoglou says he’s struggled to convince people about the players he wants to bring in.

Who is he talking about exactly? It’s a rhetorical question, because I’m pretty sure I know the answer.

It’s almost like the situation at Manchester United when Sir Alex Ferguson stepped down when he had so much power and influence behind the scenes.

They appointed Davie Moyes when he did not have the same level of authority.

Also, weren’t Celtic supposed to bring in a football manager?

Fergal Harkin is someone I have known very well since he worked at Nike and he is a Celtic man through and through. Why doesn’t he have the job of his dreams?

New CEO Dom McKay has been brought in for new ideas with the departure of Peter Lawwell.

But someone will have to explain to the Celtic people why the same decisions are made.

But as a club, we talk about amateur hour stuff with the amount of procrastination they’ve done.

Even Aberdeen was able to go and appoint a new manager before the end of last season and they are now Scotland’s fifth biggest club.

Celtic call themselves the biggest club in the country, but this whole debacle shows why the Rangers can claim that crown.

The Gers have had issues over the years, but they are doing their business well these days.

But with Postecoglou, he has to wonder if taking this job was worth it.

He didn’t have the first idea when he arrived. He can say whatever it takes about Celtic being a huge club. . . blah blah blah.

As if it wasn’t scripted.

But he didn’t know anything about life at Celtic and his eyes are open now.

The wake-up call must have sounded in his head from day one when he learned he wouldn’t be able to bring his own staff backstage.

Maybe that will change soon, but it should have happened now.

This is not a criticism of John Kennedy, Stephen McManus and Gavin Strachan, who are great guys and also great coaches in every way.

But any new manager should be allowed to bring his own staff with him and that was not the case with Postecoglou.

Much like that was not the case with Neil Lennon either, who is a legend at the club.

But everything indicates that the hierarchy fears to see its influence called into question.

Postecoglou must realize that Celtic work isn’t all he thought he was crazy.

Unless things change, it will only go from bad to worse and he might find that he’s packing his bags too.
