Canada is not among the countries exempt from quarantine for travel to England – .

The UK government today announced that travelers to England who have been vaccinated against COVID-19 in the European Union or the United States will be exempt from mandatory quarantine upon arrival – but fully vaccinated travelers from Canada will still need to be quarantined.
The change will take effect on August 2, according to a press release from the UK government. Although the UK Department for Transport has confirmed to CBC News that the change does not apply to Canadians, no reason has been given for the exclusion.

This means travelers from Canada to the UK will still need to self-quarantine at home or where they stay for 10 days, and take a COVID-19 test on or after their eighth day in the country.

“Passengers fully vaccinated in the EU with vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or in the United States with vaccines authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or in the Swiss vaccination program, will be able to travel to England without having to quarantine or take a Day 8 test on arrival, ”the press release said.
