Bryson DeChambeau, caddy takes a break before Rocket Mortgage Classic – .

DETROIT – Bryson DeChambeau and caddy Tim Tucker are taking a break, DeChambeau told ESPN’s Michael Collins on Thursday.

DeChambeau plays Detroit in the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and Tucker was on the sack for DeChambeau earlier this week. DeChambeau told Collins that Tucker hasn’t quit, but the two are going to be taking time apart.

He did not specify the length of the break, but Ben Schomin will be DeChambeau’s caddy for the rest of the tournament in Detroit.

Tucker and DeChambeau have had this situation before, when Tucker stepped down in 2017, although the two reunited in 2018.

Brooks Koepka, who has engaged in a feud with DeChambeau, did not let Thursday’s news go without comment. Koepka tweeted a shout to his younger brother, Ricky Elliott, writing, “I couldn’t do this without my guy Rick!” “

DeChambeau is the returning champion at the Rocket Mortgage Classic and has yet to start his first round this week.
