Teoscar Hernández netted a two-run brace for the Blue Jays, who scored the Red Sox for 16 hits and scored in six of the first seven innings while building a 12-0 lead. Each Toronto starter had at least one hit and produced at least one run as the Blue Jays scored 9 for 20 with runners in scoring position. While there wasn’t much to cheer on defensively for Boston, Renfroë Hunter prevented further damage when it flew Randal Grichuk of a circuit on the right in the fourth round. Renfroe ran down the ball and held on when he slammed his left hip into the low wall. from Boston Alex Verdugo also hit the wall on the left the next round to catch a foul from Biggio.
MEETING AT HOME
