Blackburn area closed around Pizza Hut after “assault” – .

An area around a pizzeria in Blackburn was closed following an assault.
The larger area around Pizza Hut near Lower Audley Street, Blackburn, was closed shortly after 8 p.m. due to the incident.

Traffic is blocked due to the closure and motorists should avoid the area.

No update was given on when the shutdown was lifted, with LancsLive understanding that this is unlikely to change in the next few hours.

A statement from Blackburn with Darwen Police said: “We had to close the area around Pizza Hut on Lower Audley Street in Blackburn.

“This is due to an ongoing incident which is under investigation, so please avoid the area when traveling, we will update you once we reopen the area.” “

The Lancashire Police Force Incident Manager described the incident as “assault” but was unable to provide further information.
