The French winger has been heavily linked with a move away from the club amid an ongoing financial crisis at Camp Nou.
Griezmann has been listed as one of the potential candidates Barcelona could offload in order to re-sign Lionel Messi and register a plethora of new players, including former Manchester City stars Sergio Aguero and Eric Garcia.
The Catalan side are currently unable to register any new players as they have used up all the space next season, which has been reduced by La Liga this year.
Earlier reports linked Griezmann with a spectacular return to Atletico Madrid as part of a player swap deal with Saul Niguez the other way around.
However, these reports died away as the two sides failed to come to an agreement. Either way, Griezmann can stay at Barcelona after all.
Diario Sport have reported that the World Cup winner has made it clear that he will refuse to leave Barcelona unless it is a return to Atletico Madrid, ruling out a sensational transfer to Manchester City.
Pep Guardiola’s side are looking for a striker this summer after the departure of Sergio Aguero.
Griezmann could have done the trick due to his pedigree and availability, but the club have shown no tangible interest in the player.
Rather, City are working on deals to bring Harry Kane to the Etihad which has been on the club’s radar after reports emerged he is set to leave Tottenham this summer.
For Griezmann, a move to England seems unlikely this summer. He remains Barcelona’s ‘burden’ for the time being with his estimated salary of € 880,000 (£ 753million) per week and his contract does not expire until 2024.
