Alvaro Morata sends message to Marcus Rashford – .

Marcus Rashford and his England team-mates Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka weren’t the only players missing penalties at Euro 2020.

Alvaro Morata was the unfortunate Spanish player to miss a penalty in his shootout loss to Italy. He messaged Rashford on Instagram to show his support.

The Juventus-owned striker has called Rashford one of the best in the world and advised him for future success.

Rashford and Morata were once Premier League opponents but came close to becoming teammates.

Manchester United pursued the Spain international in 2017 before turning to Romelu Lukaku instead.

Rashford has a bright future

Rashford is still only 23 years old and has already played three majors for England.

The Manchester United star will have more opportunities and hopefully be given a bigger starting role in the future.

The best way for Rashford to respond to this setback is to prove his skeptics wrong by getting it right.

He is due to have an operation, reports The Telegraph, which will attempt to resolve his ongoing shoulder problem. His foot injury will also be assessed.

This will give Rashford the physical and mental break he needs and United should have a better player when they return.
