The city of Toronto says 45% of the city’s adult population has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Toronto also reached the highest seven-day moving average of the vaccination campaign so far, averaging 51,896 total doses per day.

The city urges everyone to book their second immunization appointments as soon as possible with a variety of immunization appointments available for the Canada Day long weekend. You can book these here.

Part of the reason the city was able to achieve this goal was due to a mass vaccination clinic at Scotiabank Arena last weekend.

A total of 26,771 people received an injection on June 26, although some people were unable to receive vaccination receipts.

A spokesperson for Michael Garron Hospital, one of the organizations running the clinic, told 680 NEWS that they were unable to “use the provincial reservation system for a short time on the morning of the clinic.” , and instead used their paper system for around 1,000 participants.

She adds that they are currently reconciling paper and electronic records and will contact all those affected.

Anyone who has not received a vaccine receipt at this clinic by July 7 is asked to contact the Michael Garron Hospital reservations office at 437-537-5131.
