16-year-old boy stabbed to death in Croydon “by killer knocking on his door” – .

A 16 year old boy was stabbed to death by a killer who knocked on his front door.

The killer reportedly showed up at the boy’s family home on Bracken Avenue in Shrublands, Croydon at 12:46 a.m. on Thursday before attacking him on the doorstep.

They provided emergency first aid before medics and the London air ambulance arrived, but he was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:34 a.m.
He is the 19th London teenager to be killed so far this year, 17 of whom have died from stab wounds.
A neighbor said: “It must have happened so quickly. I didn’t hear anything last night. It is absolutely shocking that a child like this can be killed on the doorstep.
Neighbor Samantha Gail added, “It’s generally a quiet area. It’s so sad. It’s such a friendly place where everyone is polite to each other and there is a real sense of community.
Much of Bracken Avenue was cordoned off by police this morning. A forensic team arrived at 10:15 am and went to the small apartment building where the boy lived.
The number of teenage deaths in the capital has already exceeded last year’s total.
Scotland Yard said the official identification of the 16-year-old had not taken place. No arrests were made.
The Met has launched 62 murder investigations this year.
Detectives warned last month that the capital was on track for its worst year of teenage murders as restrictions on coronaviruses tighten further.
If the rate holds, the number of teenage deaths for the year will surpass 30 for the first time, surpassing the peak of 29 in 2008.
