Work begins in July for a new, safer passage at the busy Hykeham junction – .

There are only ten days until the start of the Lincoln Imp Trail in town, and the event map has now been released.

Thirty imps, designed by national and local artists, will be on display throughout the city of Lincoln, while one imp will be at the Hildreds Center in Skegness.

The event begins July 3 and encourages people to go hunting for the thirty imps in Lincoln, and it will end on September 8.

Locations include Cornhill Quarter, Steep Hill, Lincoln Cathedral and the Stonebow, as well as many other locations.

It is not yet confirmed which imps will be placed in which zone.

In addition to the 30 chosen imps, there will also be a wide variety of Education Trail imps, decorated by Lincolnshire schools, and five “roving” imps from the community who will roam Lincoln’s shops.

Once the Imp Trail is over, an event will take place at Lincoln Castle from September 9-23, before an auction on Lincolnshire Day, October 1.

The funds raised during the auction will be donated to the event’s charitable partner, St Barnabas Hospice.

The long-awaited event was canceled in 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, but now it will run bigger and better than ever.

In a vote organized by La Lincolnite, Steam Explorer, which was designed by artist Rosie Ablewhite, was the audience favorite of Imps, with Lizzy Mason’s Majestic Imp coming in second.
