Images of Model Y’s bodies were captured by drone operator Daniel, who heads the flybrandenburg Youtube channel. During a flyby this Sunday, the drone operator managed to peek through a small opening in the Giga Berlin paint shop building. Luckily, there were two primed Model Y bodies there.

Gigafactory Berlin’s paint shop, which is fast becoming one of the most advanced paint shops in the automotive industry, has generated a lot of excitement, according to remarks from Tesla CEO Elon Musk. The CEO previously noted that the facility’s new paint innovations should pave the way for colors that change depending on where the viewer sees the vehicle.
This, of course, is only one of the advantages of the Gigafactory Berlin paint shop. The facility is also set to allow Tesla to offer more paint options to its customers, which should provide more variety for vehicles produced in Germany. Tesla’s current paint line is very conservative, with the company currently only offering five color options.
Gigafactory Berlin has yet to receive its final approvals, but Tesla is already doing everything possible to prepare for the next production of the Model Y. Previous images of the facility have shown the company is testing its production line equipment. . And now it looks like the paint shop is also up and running. Hopefully, such initiatives could allow Tesla to roll out the Germany-made Model Y smoothly.
