Texas Reports 13 COVID-19 Deaths, 526 Additional Coronavirus Cases; Tarrant County adds 66 cases – .


Across Texas, 526 more cases of the coronavirus were reported on Sunday, including 45 older cases that were recently confirmed by labs.

The state also reported 13 new deaths from COVID-19, bringing the death toll to 51,030.

Of the new cases, 387 were confirmed and 94 were probable. Of the oldest cases, 42 were confirmed and three were probable.

The state’s total number of cases is now 2,975,701, of which 2,536,646 are confirmed and 439,055 probable.

According to the state, 13,581,576 people in Texas received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 11,462,001 – 47.6% of the state’s population aged 12 and over – are fully immunized.

Tarrant County

Tarrant County reported two new deaths and 66 new cases on Sunday.

Details on the latest deaths were not immediately available.

Of the new cases, 48 ​​were confirmed and 18 were probable. The figures bring the county’s total cases to 262,529, of which 219,395 are confirmed and 43,134 probable. The deaths total 3,557.

According to the state, 920,458 people in Tarrant County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 798,711 – 45.9% of the county’s population aged 12 and older – are fully vaccinated .

Dallas County

Dallas County officials are no longer reporting new coronavirus data on Sunday. Figures that would previously have been released on Sunday will be released on Monday.

As of Saturday, the total number of cases in the county was 305,400 – 262,178 confirmed and 43,222 probable. The death toll was 4,109.

The average number of daily new cases in the county over the past two weeks is 110. For the previous 14-day period, the average was 100.

According to the state, 1,231,149 people in Dallas County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 1,029,102 – 47.2% of the county’s population aged 12 and older – are fully vaccinated.

Collin County

The state added 50 new cases and one new death to the Collin County totals on Sunday.

Details on the latest death were not available.

The county’s total cases are 92,550, of which 75,724 are confirmed and 16,826 probable. Total deaths 841.

According to the state, 569,385 people in Collin County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 495,994 – 57.3% of the county’s population aged 12 and older – are fully vaccinated .

Denton County

Denton County officials are no longer reporting new coronavirus data on Sunday.

As of Friday, the county had a total of 76,705 COVID-19 cases, including 56,201 confirmed and 20,504 probable. The death toll stood at 604.

According to the state, 443,376 people in Denton County have received at least one dose of a coronavirus vaccine, while 381,760 – 50.9% of the county’s population aged 12 and older – are fully vaccinated.
