Customers have been told they may not be able to be reimbursed immediately leading to further anger.

Tesco said he was “aware that there was a problem”.

Responding to a tweet from a customer, they said, “I’m sorry, we are aware that there has been a problem in some of our stores. When funds were reserved, your funds should be automatically released by Monday, June 14. “

He advised customers who had not been reimbursed on Monday to call the customer service helpline.

A buyer tweeted: “’I would avoid paying Tesco contactless. I was debited 3 times for the same transaction in the cafe.

“I can’t get my money back until Monday at least because it’s the weekend. Huge pain. Apparently it’s just contactless, card payments with PIN code are still great! “

Other shoppers have taken to social media to say they have to leave stores empty-handed as they have no other way to pay.
