A 14-year-old girl who skateboarded at a North Dakota shopping mall one morning was killed in a random vicious attack, according to reports.

Daisy “Jupiter” Paulsen was declared brain dead on Tuesday after the attack, which saw her beaten, stabbed and strangled for about 20 minutes in Fargo, according to The Forum.

The alleged perpetrator, Arthur Prince Kollie, 23, was originally charged with attempted murder, robbery and aggravated assault, but the charge was turned into murder, according to a Cass County prosecutor, a reported the New York Post.

Jupiter was skateboarding from his father’s house to his mother’s around 7 a.m. last Friday, his father told the Forum.

Kollie told police he used methamphetamine the day before the attack, denied being the assailant and said he had no recollection of the incident.

He was reportedly on probation for a conviction in 2017 for assaulting a peace officer.

The attack was partially filmed and a sanitation worker driving nearby said he saw a man wearing a white t-shirt and black pants lean or stand over the girl with a hand on her nose and the other on his throat, according to court documents.

The man who witnessed the incident called 911 and performed CPR on Jupiter. The suspect was caught on camera stealing new clothes from a nearby Walmart and police found bloodstained clothes in a locker room.

When told he was under arrest for theft and attempted murder, Kollie reportedly replied, “Attempted murder, how is she alive?” Or what? What does attempted murder mean?

The Forum reported that Kollie recently served 27 days in jail for his previous offenses.

Paulsen has been taken from the resuscitation system and her organs have been donated, according to her father, KVLY-TV said.
