Socialist Jasmine Hartin is accused of assaulting a hotel worker and being sent back to a Belize prison after checking in trying to enter the house she shared with Lord Ashcroft’s son

The socialite who shot dead a police chief on a Belize beach was charged last night with assaulting a hotel worker and sent back to jail.

Jasmine Hartin, 32, the ex-partner of Lord Ashcroft’s son, had been released on bail as she awaited trial for the accidental shooting of Henry Jemmott last month.

It comes after she filmed herself trying to access the house she previously shared with Andrew Ashcroft and their two children in the luxury resort owned by the billionaire’s son.

Miss Hartin appeared in San Pedro court to plead not guilty to assault, but was remanded in custody.

The station manager withdrew his bond funds.

Frank Habet said: “Miss Hartin appeared at the Grand Colony complex behaving in a disorderly and abusive manner and creating great disruption at the hotel in the presence of guests.

It was at this point that socialite Miss Hartin was again arrested in a dramatic fashion. It comes after she filmed herself trying to access the house she previously shared with Andrew Ashcroft and their two children in the luxury resort he owns.

“I now believe that Miss Hartin is quite capable of not showing up at trial and therefore wish to withdraw my cash deposit immediately. “

Miss Hartin’s legal team described the incident as an “ambush” and were scrambling to find the money last night before she could be released.
