Influencer Oli London came under criticism for “making himself known as a Korean” during Pride Month.

The 31-year-old, who is white and from England, has been criticized in recent years for his cosmetic surgeries which resemble BTS star Jimin.

Now London has claimed they are ‘transracial’, claiming they now have ‘Korean eyes’ after the surgery.

The social media star shared a video from their hospital bed after undergoing eye surgery, facelifts, eyebrows and temples, adding to the 18 surgeries that they must look more like their idol, and is both non-binary and ‘transracial’ output.

They said they had been confused about who they were and had been living in the wrong body for the past eight years – the time since the debut of BTS K-pop superstars – and that they were ‘now identify as’ them / them / Korean’.

London said, “I know a lot of people don’t understand me, but I identify as Korean, I look Korean now, I feel Korean. I don’t identify as British, so please don’t speak to me as British because I identify as Korean, it’s just my culture, it’s my homeland, it’s exactly what I look like now.

“I identify with the culture, I lived in Korea, I speak the language, I look Korean now, I look completely Korean. “

When London referred to “Korean air”, they zoomed in on the operation they underwent.

In another video, they described themselves as having ‘transitioned’, saying, ‘I have eyes’.

They wrote on Instagram: “I just want to beat the record DIRECTLY… It’s pride month🏳️‍🌈 and I’ve always had identity issues and I’ve been confused as to who I am as that nobody👱🏻👧🏻. I made the tough and courageous decision to go non-binary⚧ and Korean 🇰🇷 to help millions of other LGBTQI + 🏳️‍🌈 young people all over the world, Kpop fans and Koreans feel confident enough not to feel no fear of being able to express themselves and how they identify. 🙏🏻

“In South Korea, there are millions of unrepresented LGBTQI + people who have no voice and who often face ostracism from society and sometimes even rejection from their own families, because they are LGBTQI +. Being a member of the LGBT community in Korea, as in much of the world, often faces challenges and rejection due to traditional and conservative views. 🇰🇷

“I wanted to be a beacon of light for these good people and tell them that it’s good to express yourself and that it’s good to come out into the world with the way you identify yourself. 🗽

“Yes, I identify as Korean. Yes, I am not binary. Yes, I look like Jimin. “But none of this should be a reason to ban me from society, dehumanize me and make me ashamed of being who I am, a non-binary Korean person.

‘I will never stop being the person I was born to be! 👶🏻🇰🇷

“The next time you decide to troll someone online and publicly shame them for their sexuality or identity, think about the consequences of your words. It doesn’t cost anything to be kind, to show respect, and to spread love. Spread the kindness this Pride Month and let us unite to fight homophobia and allow all human beings the same equal rights, no matter how each of us identifies. ‘
London’s claims have been widely criticized on social media, especially their eye surgery for looking more Asian.

One tweet read: “He literally had eye surgery to make his eyes ‘more Asian’ and uses his platform to disrespect, infantilize and fetishize Asians on a daily basis,” while one person described their actions “Ultimate cultural appropriation”.

Another person responded in London: “I grew up as an Asian in a non-Asian country. Being bullied because of my appearance, especially my eyes. Finally, I am a little happy with my appearance. And did you really just say you’re Korean because you had an operation to make your eyes look as stereotypical as possible as Asian? Feels weird. ‘

Others called on people using the London claims to make transphobic statements, as they compared London’s “transracialism” to a person moving from a man to a woman or a woman to a man.

A number of conservative pundits’ backed ‘London, with Ben Shapiro telling London’ live your truth ‘and tweeting:’ This all-time pride month fanaticism is a disturbing reminder of what Trans-Korean people face . “

Laurence Fox also retweeted the video from London with the caption “Live your best life” in Korean.

London’s claims that they are now Korean mirror the story of Rachel Dolezal, who ran the Spokane branch of the NAACP and claimed to be black before she was “exposed” as white in 2015.

Dolezal was born to two white parents and had blue eyes and blond hair; however, she identifies as “trans-black” and although she acknowledges that she was biologically born white, she identifies as black.
