OC Public Health to reduce data release – Orange County Register – –


The OC Health Care Agency says it will only release data on the number of COVID-19 cases on weekdays for the rest of June, and will switch to reporting once a week in July .
Starting July 1, OC data will be updated on Tuesdays at 5 p.m. Data will continue to be tracked through CalREDIE’s disease reporting and surveillance system.

As of Friday, June 11, the cumulative total in the county was 255,588 cases since the start of follow-up.

As of June 11, 424 new infections have been reported in the past 14 days.

The total number of deaths from COVID-19 is 5,095.

The California Department of Public Health’s vaccine scorecard reported that more than 3.27 million doses of the vaccine had been distributed in Orange County as of Friday. As of June 8, the percentage of people fully vaccinated in Orange County by age is as follows:

  • 65 and over: 67.8%
  • 50-64 : 67,1 %
  • 18-49 : 52 %
  • Up to 17: 17.5%

Of the 5,095 cumulative deaths reported from the virus, 1,131 were qualified residents of nursing homes, 589 were in assisted living facilities, one was an OC prison inmate, and 12 were listed as homeless .

The distribution of deaths by age in the county is as follows:

17 and under: 0.02% (1) 18-24: 0.16% (8) 25-34: 1.16% (59) 35-44: 2.26% (115) 45-54: 6 , 34% (323) 55-64: 14.31% (729) 65-74: 19.27% ​​(982) 75-84: 24.59% (1,253) 85 and over: 31.89% (1 625)
