New York City to Host $ 2,500 Vaccination Contest in July – –

NEW YORK CITY (WABC) – Mayor Bill de Blasio announced on Wednesday that residents who get vaccinated at New York City-run sites now have a chance to win $ 2,500. The contest includes 10 prizes in money given back every week until July.
“It’s a real opportunity after everything everyone’s been through,” said de Blasio. “I think the vast majority of New Yorkers could really use $ 2,500 right now. Make a big difference in your life. The mayor says that for those who haven’t been vaccinated, all they need to do is make an appointment to qualify.

“If you get the vaccine at any city-run site, you can enter for the chance of winning this city-managed prize,” he said. Cash prizes aren’t the only incentives. to be vaccinated in New York.

In May, de Blasio offered a host of incentives to encourage New Yorkers to get vaccinated, including tickets to the New York Aquarium, the New York Botanical Garden, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, the Bronx, Citi Bike membership (free for 2 weeks), Public Theater membership, Lincoln Center, Brooklyn Cyclones, New York City Football Club, and NYC Ferry.
